INTRODUCTION
Hunt & Associates 09 LLC dba Absolute Storage (“we” or “us” or “our”) explains here what cookies and similar technologies are used on our website absolutestorage.com, including any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related or connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”).
This is a short policy because there is little to describe. We do not use advertising cookies, marketing tags, remarketing pixels, or any technology that builds a profile of you or follows you to other websites. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Cookie Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date of this Cookie Policy. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Cookie Policy on the Site.
You are encouraged to periodically review this Cookie Policy to stay informed of updates.
COOKIES WE SET
A “cookie” is a small piece of information a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits.
If you simply browse the Site, we set no cookies at all. Two first-party cookies are set only in response to something you do:
- asCookieConsent — set when you dismiss the privacy notice at the bottom of the page, so the notice does not reappear on every page. Expires after 12 months.
- asConsentId — a random identifier, created at the same moment, that ties your dismissal to our record of it (see “Our record of acknowledgements” below). It is not linked to your name, your email address, or anything else about you, and it is not used for analytics or advertising. Expires after 13 months.
If you sign in to administer the Site, WordPress sets additional first-party cookies that keep you logged in. These apply to staff accounts only, not to visitors.
ANALYTICS
We measure traffic to the Site with Fathom Analytics. We use it to see which pages are visited and how people arrive at the Site, so we know what to improve.
Fathom is a privacy-focused analytics service. It is important to us that:
- It sets no cookies and uses no other persistent identifier on your device.
- It does not assign you a cross-site identifier, build a profile of you, or follow you to other websites.
- It does not store your IP address, and the data cannot be used to single you out.
- The data is never sold, and is not shared with advertising networks.
Because Fathom collects no personal information and stores nothing on your device, it runs on every visit and is not something we ask you to consent to. We disclose it here and in the notice at the bottom of the Site instead. If you would still rather it did not count your visit, most browsers offer content-blocking extensions that will stop it, and doing so will not affect how the Site works for you.
MAPS
Pages that show the location of our facility embed a map from Google Maps. Loading that map sends your IP address and the address of the page you are on to Google, and Google may store information on your device under its own terms. We do not receive any of that information, and we do not use the map for analytics or advertising.
The map is loaded because it is the information most visitors come to the Site to find. Google’s handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
FORMS
If you submit a contact or inquiry form, we receive what you typed into it, together with the usual technical details of the request. Forms are hosted on our own site rather than by a third-party form service, and are not connected to any advertising or tracking system.
What you submit is stored in the website’s database and emailed to a shared address our team monitors. Staff at the web and marketing agency that administers the site can therefore access form submissions in the course of running the site. The information is used to reply to you and to manage any rental that follows. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information you give us.
SERVER LOGS
Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider keeps automatic server logs of requests to the Site, which include IP addresses, for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing faults. These are ordinary operational records, are not used to track you across sites, and are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
OUR RECORD OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
When you dismiss the privacy notice, we record that it was dismissed, the date and time, the version of this policy in force, the page you were on, your browser’s user-agent string, and the random asConsentId value described above. We keep this as proof that the disclosure was made and shown.
We do not store your IP address in this record, and it is not linked to your identity. Records are automatically deleted after 36 months.
CONTROL OF COOKIES
Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You can remove or reject cookies in your browser’s settings. Because the Site relies on cookies only to remember that you dismissed a notice, blocking or clearing them will not stop the Site from working — the notice will simply appear again.
For more information on how to control cookies, check your browser or device’s settings, or visit the following links:
- Apple Safari
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Opera
- Android (Chrome)
- iPhone or iPad (Chrome or Safari)
DO NOT SELL OR SHARE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We run no advertising trackers, and we do not disclose your information to advertising networks, data brokers, or audience-matching services.
Because there is no sale or sharing to opt out of, there is no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” opt-out for us to offer, and you will not find such a link in our footer. Its absence means the practice does not happen here, not that the choice has been withheld from you.
Browser signals such as Global Privacy Control, and the older “Do Not Track” header, therefore have nothing to act on here. We honor them by not tracking you across websites and not selling or sharing your personal information in the first place.
WHAT WE DO NOT USE
For the avoidance of doubt, the Site does not use:
- Advertising or remarketing cookies, tags, or pixels of any kind
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, or the Meta (Facebook) pixel
- Social media tracking widgets or “like” buttons that report your visit
- Session replay, heatmap, or keystroke-recording tools
- Cross-site profiling, data brokers, or audience-matching services
